La Madeline au Truffe ($2,600 per pound)
Imagine decadent 70% Valrhona dark chocolate, heavy cream, sugar, truffle oil and vanilla in a rich decadent ganache. In the middle is a rare French Perigord truffle enrobed in Valrhona dark chocolate and then rolled in fine cocoa powder. That’s plentry of chocolate to imagine. At $250 a piece or $2,600 per pound La Madeline au Truffe has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as the most expensive chocolate in the world. With a 7 day shelf life, these babies need to be eaten quickly!

Chocolates are mouth-watering treats that almost everyone irrespective of their age loves to savor. I love chocolates, every time I taste it, it leaves a pleasant memory for me, it satisfies my innate preference for sweets and fat.

Goodness are these chocolate expensive. I don’t even think I could properly make them justice because I’d feel I’d have to set a beautiful table and make it a very special occasion. They’re all gorgeous and I’m sure tasty but that price tag is just woow.
My favorite guilty pleasure is chocolate! Admittedly, I can’t imagine spending so much, it’s crazy. Maybe one day if I’m ever able to splurge I think I’d love to try the La Madeline Au Truffe. Something about eating truffles always makes me feel fancy. x
